BIOMERIS in discussion with AISIS on digital health, data and research
BIOMERIS was invited as a speaker by AISIS – the Italian Association of Health Information Systems to take part in two important moments of discussion focused on digital innovation in healthcare and the strategic role of data in supporting research.
The first contribution took place within AISIS Talk – Episode 2, the in-depth format dedicated to key topics in healthcare ICT, also available on YouTube (LINK). The talk, entitled “Digital health in support of research activities: from OMOP to Real World Data”, provided an opportunity to discuss the value of data standardization, semantic interoperability, and the use of Real World Data in clinical research.
The dialogue initiated during AISIS Talk was then carried forward at the Healthcare Innovation Executive Conference 2026, held on April 23 in Rome and organized by AISIS in collaboration with TIG – The Innovation Group. This landmark event brought together decision-makers, professionals, and companies to explore the evolving paths of digital healthcare, with a strong focus on interoperability, data, and the transformation of research models.

Taking part as a speaker in both initiatives represented a valuable opportunity for BIOMERIS to contribute to the discussion on how healthcare data can be transformed into actionable knowledge, only when supported by reliable infrastructures, shared standards, and strong collaboration among ecosystem stakeholders.
BIOMERIS will continue to support initiatives that foster increasingly data-driven, interoperable, and impact-oriented research.
